Preserving family history with modern tools and a human touch.

The idea for Footage Crowd Inc. was born from a single, unforgettable moment, watching my father see a moving image of his own dad, 2nd Lt. David P. Towns, who was killed on the battlefields of Normandy, France during World War II. To witness his reaction and to see memory made real through film, was one of the highlights of my life.

That experience taught me that the value of memory goes far beyond nostalgia. It’s heritage, it’s healing, and it’s history itself. Every reel of film holds a fragment of someone’s story, and by restoring and sharing those moments, we connect generations in ways that words never could.

At Footage Crowd, we bring these rediscovered memories to life. They are digitally preserved, mapped to their original locations, and made available to the world. Families receive the joy of seeing their loved ones again and a financial royalty from licensing. The public gains access to rare, authentic glimpses of the past that enrich documentaries, news, and cultural understanding. It’s a shared circle of remembrance and renewal.

At Footage Crowd, every frame we rescue is Worth Remembering.

My passion for history, theology, and culture has taken me across continents, but nothing has been as rewarding as helping preserve the personal histories of families. Working hands-on with clients and seeing joy return to their faces as forgotten moments come to life is deeply fulfilling. Every day brings a chance to discover something new and meaningful. Feel free to reach out — preserving history together has been a wonderful experience.

Our mission has always been about connection — between families, generations, and communities. What began as film restoration has grown into something larger: a shared network of memory. Through collaboration, technology, and creativity, we’re helping stories travel farther than ever before. It’s been inspiring to share our films with the world and to see the power of storytelling ignite new conversations every day.
